When would the epilepsy first show up?

Seizures may start within days or weeks of the injury, but often there is a longer lag time between the injury and the appearance of epilepsy. This lag time could be as long as one or two years, and in some cases, may even be many years. Most epilepsy will show up within the first two years. The lag between the injury and the appearance of epilepsy makes determining the exact nature of any individual veteran’s epilepsy more difficult.
